According to media reports, Chandrasekhar, who worked at the ‘Sri Lakshmi Canteen’ inside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, sold the tickets for the RCB vs LSG match at a price much higher than the original price. The accused was allegedly selling more than 180 IPL tickets in the black market at a price of Rs 15,000 to Rs 19,000 per ticket. He has been arrested by the officials of Bengaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB).
It is reported that these tickets of the RCB vs LSG match were purchased in large quantities in the name of ‘Swastik Heavy Engineering’ and ‘Industrial Automation Consultant Company’ through an online booking platform called ‘TicketGenie’. Later the tickets were sent to other places and sold at inflated prices.
It is alleged that Ganesh Parekhshit, a member of KSCA, supplied these tickets and asked Chandrashekhar to sell them at a higher price. At present, Ganesh is absconding and the police is searching for him. Earlier, a case of selling tickets of RCB vs CSK match at expensive prices had come to light.
