Houses in Stapleford were evacuated on April 17 following a reported gas explosion. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said it had four crews at Tevery Close on Friday morning after a gas main burst.
Two roads were closed following the incident, and the fire service urged people to avoid the area. A statement from the fire service read: "We've currently got fire engines from Stapleford Fire Station, Stockhill Fire Station and colleagues from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service at an incident on Tevery Close, Stapleford. We understand a gas main has burst and residents in the nearby area are being evacuated, as a precaution, whilst this is dealt with. Please avoid the area until this is resolved!"
