Box Office Success of 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge'

The action-packed spy thriller "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" continues to impress at the box office, raking in ₹3.50 crore on its fourth Wednesday. This marks a 22% drop compared to the previous Monday, bringing its total earnings for the fourth week to ₹45.50 crore over five days. Experts forecast that the film is likely to wrap up the week with around ₹50 crore in total revenue.

Throughout its run, "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" has achieved a remarkable ₹942 crore gross at the Hindi box office. Its earnings breakdown includes ₹571.50 crore from the first week, ₹229 crore in the second week, and ₹96 crore during the third week. As it approaches its fifth weekend, the film is anticipated to exceed the ₹950 crore milestone, despite facing competition from Akshay Kumar's upcoming film, "Bhooth Bangla."

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is on track to reach the ₹1000 crore nett milestone soon, which will account for earnings from its dubbed versions. However, it seems unlikely that the Hindi version alone will achieve this significant figure. The film's success can be attributed to its broad appeal across various demographics and regions.

Currently, "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" has set a new benchmark for Hindi films in Mumbai, overtaking the previous record held by "Pushpa 2." It has also become the highest-grossing film in the three largest circuits: Mumbai, Delhi-UP, and East Punjab, as well as in all major Southern circuits, including Mysore, AP-Nizam, and Tamil Nadu-Kerala. These metropolitan areas have played a crucial role in the film's triumph.

While the film has thrived in major markets, it faces hurdles in Central and Eastern circuits, where it may struggle to surpass "Pushpa 2" in regions like CP Berar, CI, Bihar, and Odisha, or "Jawan" in West Bengal and Assam. As "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" continues its box office journey, industry analysts are closely monitoring its final performance and its overall influence on the film industry.
