Cecilia Cheung reveals declining health

According to HK01cited by ZnewsCheung shared a photo of two pills in a bowl on Instagram on April 8, captioned “Even worse.” She also posted an image of porridge she prepared herself, writing: “I’ll eat again at midnight and then go to sleep. Good night, everyone.”

In December last year, Cheung said she had completed her will.

“I don’t want people to do ugly things because of money after I’m gone,” she said at the time. “Everyone will die one day. I’ve already chosen my funeral photo and the clothes I want to wear.”

In recent years, the actress has also been involved in a legal dispute. In 2020, her former manager Yu Yuk Hing filed a lawsuit alleging that Cheung failed to appear in four films she had agreed to after receiving an advance payment of HK$41.76 million (US$5.33 million), according to The Straits Times.

During a court hearing in December last year, Cheung became visibly emotional and broke down in court.

Cheung, 46, rose to fame in 1998 after appearing in a television commercial for lemon tea and gained wider recognition for her role in “King of Comedy,” directed by Stephen Chow.

She married Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse in 2006, and the couple divorced in 2011. They have two sons, Lucas, 19, and Quintus, 16.

In 2018, Cheung gave birth to her third son, Marcus, but has kept the identity of his father private.

Tse, also 46, entered the entertainment industry in 1996 and made his acting debut in 1998.
