In a disturbing incident in Agra, a young man was brutally murdered by his girlfriend and her mother. The shocking crime involved the victim being strangled before his body was set ablaze in a car. Following the revelation of this heinous act, law enforcement apprehended the girlfriend and her mother, leading to their incarceration.
The victim, Pushpendra Yadav, a transport businessman from Kasganj, was killed by Dolly, the daughter of a known criminal, and her mother, Bhuri Devi. They were arrested on Thursday after police investigations revealed that on the night of the 25th, a wedding was taking place at their home. During the festivities, Pushpendra was lured to the house and subsequently murdered without anyone noticing due to the noise of the celebration. After the relatives departed late at night, the perpetrators attempted to dispose of the body by driving towards Rajasthan, where they ultimately set the car on fire.
SSP Shailesh Kumar Pandey reported that the suspects were caught based on a tip-off near Raipur Jaat. During questioning, Bhuri Devi disclosed that Pushpendra had developed a relationship with her daughter, which led to complications. In September 2023, he had taken Dolly away under false pretenses, prompting Bhuri to file a case against him. Dolly had also testified against Pushpendra in court, where he was pressuring her for a marriage agreement.
Bhuri Devi explained that they had arranged a marriage for Dolly in Rajasthan, but Pushpendra's interference threatened to ruin it. Consequently, a plot was devised by her husband, Avadhesh, along with his brother Rajesh and Rajesh's son, to eliminate Pushpendra. On the day of the engagement, while Pushpendra was intoxicated, they seized the opportunity to strangle him. Afterward, they left his body in the car and drove around for two hours before incinerating it in the Farah area.
Refinery CO Shweta Verma stated that the accused had conspired to invite Pushpendra to their home with the intent to kill him and then disguise the murder as an accident by burning the vehicle. The police team involved in the arrests included Inspector Kamlesh Singh and several officers. Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to locate Avadhesh, Gautam, and Rajesh, who remain at large, with searches being conducted at their relatives' homes and other potential hideouts.
