A young girl, who moved to Delhi from Bihar at the age of 11 to pursue her education, has been the victim of her father's horrific actions. Reports indicate that this case highlights a troubling trend where relatives are often the perpetrators of such crimes against women. According to data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), most offenders in cases of sexual assault are close family members. In a shocking incident from Burari, Delhi, a father has been accused of sexually assaulting his daughter since she was just 16 years old.

The situation came to light after the victim bravely reported her ordeal. It was revealed that her father would turn violent at night. The breakthrough in the case occurred when a video surfaced, prompting the Delhi police to take action. They recorded the victim's statement and arrested the father, who is now in custody.

After enduring years of abuse, the young woman decided to document her father's actions. One night, she secretly recorded him during an assault and subsequently presented this evidence to the police at Burari station. Authorities were reportedly shocked by her revelations. At the time of her complaint, she was 21 years old, and the police registered a case under various sections, including POCSO and rape.

The victim disclosed several alarming details to the police, stating that her father had been abusing her for the past decade. When she confided in her mother, she was met with threats to remain silent. Senior police officials noted that the family originally hails from Bihar and had been residing in Burari. The victim had been living alone with her father for educational purposes, and the abuse began when she was only 11 years old, with her father threatening her to keep quiet about the incidents.

At the age of six, the victim attempted to inform her mother about the abuse, but was told to stay silent. This led to her suffering from depression. Her health deteriorated, prompting a visit to AIIMS in Bilaspur, where counseling sessions revealed the extent of her trauma.
