A UK electric vehicle-charging company has collapsed into administration after operating for 12 years across the world.
EO Charging, trading under the name Juuce Limited, has been experiencing financial challenges in recent years and its overseas expansion into the US, Australia, New Zealand, and Italy lost the company money.
The company provided electric vehicle charging infrastructure to supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Co-op as well as other businesses such as Amazon, Microsoft, Stagecoach, DHL, and NCP. During the second half of 2025 EO Charging abandoned its overseas operations and scaled back to providing EV charging for just the UK.
Edward Williams, Ross Connock, and Victoria Hatton have been appointed as joint administrators of the company to manage its affairs, business and property. On April 9, PwC LLP announced the company had entered administration.
PwC said: "Although additional funding was provided by shareholders and a successful fundraising round took place in the autumn 2025 liquidity challenges resurfaced.
"An accelerated M&A process commenced in January 2026; however, it did not result in a transaction. As a result the Company had no viable options other than entering administration."
Upon appointing administrators 69 of EO Charging's 93 employees were made redundant while those remaining will be kept for a short time to assist with the winding down of operations.
Mr Williams, joint administrator and partner at PwC, said: "It's regrettable that the company has been left with no option but to enter administration and that 69 employees have sadly been made redundant.
"The administrators are looking to assist customers in smoothly transitioning to alternative suppliers with the support of the remaining employees before winding down the company in an orderly manner and seeking to optimise the value of its assets."
