Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially touched down in Melbourne, Australia, as they began their action-packed four-day visit on Tuesday, April 14. Over the course of the trip, the couple will also move through Canberra and Sydney for a number of private, business, and philanthropic engagements.

Their first stop was a trip to the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, where they were greeted by a big crowd. The Duchess also visited a women's refuge in Melbourne, where she served plates of frittata to people at the centre. Later on, they attended the Australian National Veterans Arts Museum in Melbourne, meeting veterans and their families and taking part in a pottery class.

Though the official tour programme ends on Friday evening with a rugby match in Sydney, on Saturday, the Duchess will hold an "in-person conversation" at a wellness retreat in a five-star Sydney beachside hotel.

Today, the pair kicked off their first visit to Australia since their 2018 royal tour, and their first since stepping back from senior royal duties in 2020.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex began their itinerary on Tuesday in Melbourne with a visit to the Royal Children's Hospital.

The couple was greeted by crowds of patients, families, and staff, pausing to speak with children and pose for photos.

The upper-floor walkway bridges that hang suspended above the foyer were packed with people, craning to see what was happening, as Harry and Meghan shook hands with well-wishers.

Meghan Markle also visited a Homeless Services for Women Centre in Melbourne, where she put on an apron and served frittata to the centre's users. After serving several people, Meghan asked, "Is anyone else hungry?"

The couple arrived arm in arm at the Australian National Veterans Arts Museum and were all smiles as they greeted well-wishers.

The whirlwind tour isn't stopping there as the Duke and Duchess are set to travel across Melbourne, Canberra, and Sydney over the coming days as their Aussie adventure continues.
