What is a buyback offer?
Under its ‘Assured Buyback’ programme, Volkswagen is offering a refund guarantee of up to 75 percent of the car’s ex-showroom price for up to 3 years or 30,000 km on the purchase of this SUV. This means that users can return the car after three years or 30,000 km. They will get a refund of 75 percent of the ex-showroom price, depending on the variant. This offer is currently valid for bookings made till 31st May. This is said to be the highest buyback value ever recorded in the Indian passenger car market.

How is the new Tygun?
The company has not changed much in its looks and design, but the few changes that have been made make the car look more premium. The front now features a slimmer grille and a full-width light bar. It also includes the now-popular illuminated Volkswagen logo. The bumper has been given a piano black finish and the side profile features new alloy wheels.
At the rear, the SUV gets new LED taillamps with sequential turn indicators. Also, it gets a slightly updated bumper and welcome and goodbye animations for the lights. The SUV is available in a total of 9 color options, which include Avocado Pearl, Steel Grey, Candy White, Deep Black, Wild Cherry Red, Lava Blue, Reflex Silver, Carbon Steel and Carbon Steel Matte.
New Volkswagen Taigun: Engine and Performance
The new Taigun is powered by a 1.0 liter TSI turbo petrol engine, which generates 114 bhp of power and 178 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the 1.5 liter TSI engine generates 148 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque.
Transmission:
1.0 liter engine: 6-speed manual and new 8-speed automatic gearbox.
1.5 liter engine: 7-speed dual clutch automatic (DSG).
The biggest mechanical change in this SUV is that it now gets an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Cabin and Features
Inside the car, you’ll find the familiar ‘layout’, but several new features have been added:
Premium Look: New color options and two-tone finish give the cabin a more premium look. Depending on the variant, it gets 6 types of upholstery options.
Display: It has a 10.25-inch digital driver display and a 10.1-inch updated infotainment system.
Smart technology: The system now comes with smoother software, new graphics and AI based features, providing real-time information and better voice control.
Other Features: The Taigun facelift now has more than 40 features. It features full LED headlamps (with automatic leveling), panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control and 6-way electric adjustable ventilated front seats. The AC system has also been improved to make cooling more effective.
