Mumbai, 13 April. Asha Bhosle, a strong signature of the Indian music world and famous singer, was cremated with full state honors at the crematorium in Shivaji Park here on Monday afternoon. Son Anand Bhosle cremated his late mother.

It is noteworthy that 92-year-old Ashatai died at Breach Candy Hospital on Sunday. Asha Bhosle’s mortal remains were kept at her residence ‘Casa Grande’ in Lower Parel from around 10 am to 2 pm for the last darshan, so that fans, well-wishers and industry members could pay their last respects.

At the time of Ashatai’s last farewell, tight security arrangements were made at the funeral site. During this, many politicians including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar participated. At the same time, many celebs including Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Singer Shaan attended the last farewell of the singer.

Granddaughter Janai became emotional after meeting Sachin Tendulkar

Former Indian cricket captain Sachin Tendulkar and Mohd. Other veteran cricketers including Siraj also came to pay tribute to Ashatai. Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter Janai Bhosle became emotional while talking to the visitors. He was seen crying bitterly while meeting Sachin Tendulkar and his family.

Tricolor salute was given

A day before the last journey, Asha Bhosle’s mortal remains were kept at her residence in Mumbai for last darshan. During this, the late great singer was given the Tricolor salute along with the Guard of Honour.

Maharashtra Governor paid tribute

Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Verma visited Ashatai’s residence and laid a wreath on her mortal remains and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family members.

Thackeray family also reached residence

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, his wife Rashmi Thackeray and leader Aditya Thackeray also reached the residence and paid last tribute to Asha Bhosle. The atmosphere was very sad in the presence of family members, film personalities and fans.
