Eligibility Criteria for UP Vidhan Bhavan Guard Recruitment
Educational Qualification: Must have passed the Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto.
Age Limit: As of July 1st, the candidate must have attained the age of 18 years but must not have exceeded the age of 40 years. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories of Uttar Pradesh will be granted an upper age relaxation in accordance with the prescribed rules.
**Height for Men:** The minimum height requirement is 168 cm for candidates belonging to the General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Scheduled Castes (SC) categories; for candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST), the minimum height must be 160 cm.
**Chest Measurement for Men:** The chest measurement should be 84 cm (expanded); for candidates belonging to reserved categories, it should be 82 cm (expanded).
**Height for Women:** The minimum height requirement is 152 cm for candidates belonging to the General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Scheduled Castes (SC) categories; for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes (ST), the minimum height must be 147 cm.
**How will the selection process work for the UP Vidhan Bhavan Recruitment?**
In this recruitment drive, candidates will be shortlisted for the Main Examination based on their performance in the PET (Preliminary Eligibility Test). The shortlisting of candidates will be determined based on their normalized scores obtained in the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025. Based on the number of advertised vacancies, 15 times that number of candidates will be selected to appear for the Main Examination.
While the form-filling process is yet to commence, candidates belonging to reserved categories are advised to utilize this time to get their relevant documents—including their Domicile Certificate—prepared in the specific format prescribed by the Commission.
