SSC GD Constable Exam 2026 Schedule: There is a major update for candidates eagerly awaiting the SSC GD exam dates. The Staff Selection Commission has officially announced the examination dates for the GD Constable recruitment. Commencing on April 27, the examination will be conducted in four phases, extending through the last week of May. According to the official notice released on the SSC's official website (ssc.gov.in), the examination for the first week will be held from April 27 to May 2, 2026. Following this, the examination for the second week will take place from May 4 to May 9. The subsequent schedule has been determined in a similar manner.

SSC GD Slot Booking: Choose Your Own Exam Week
The SSC GD Constable examination was originally scheduled to be held starting February 23. However, it was subsequently postponed. Since then, lakhs of candidates have been awaiting the announcement of the exam dates. We had previously informed you that the schedule for the GD examination was likely to be released soon. As anticipated, the Commission has now released the new examination dates. The newly issued notice also provides details regarding changes to the self-slot booking process.

Candidates can no longer select their specific exam day, city, or shift as they could in the past; however, they are now being offered the option to choose their preferred *exam week*. You may select your preferred examination week from among the four available weeks, based on your convenience. This facility will become active on April 11 at 3:00 PM. Candidates will be able to select their preference for the examination week until 5:00 PM on April 15.

When will the SSC GD Admit Card be released?
With the SSC GD examination schedule now available, you can proceed with your preparations for the exam accordingly. The SSC releases the exam city slip for candidates 10 days before the examination date. Meanwhile, admit cards are issued 3–4 days before the actual exam date. Consequently, for the GD examination scheduled for April 27, candidates' admit cards are likely to be released on April 23 or 24. The SSC will publish the link to download the admit card exclusively on its official website, from where you will be able to download your GD hall ticket using your registration number and password.
