On the strength of the stormy batting of Phil Salt (78), Virat Kohli (50) and captain Rajat Patidar (53), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) scored a huge score of 240 runs for four wickets against Mumbai Indians in the 20th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Sunday. Here today Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bowl first.
Coming to bat for RCB, the opening pair of Phil Salt and Virat Kohli displayed explosive batting and added 120 runs for the first wicket. In the 11th over, Shardul Thakur ended this partnership by getting Phil Salt caught out by Hardik Pandya.
Phil Salt played a stormy innings of 78 runs in 36 balls, hitting six fours and sixes. In the 15th over, Hardik Pandya, while trying to play a big shot, got Virat Kohli caught out at the boundary. Virat Kohli played an inning of 50 runs in 38 balls, hitting five fours and one six. In the very next over, Mitchell Santner got Rajat Patidar caught out by Tilak Verma.
Rajat Patidar played a half-century innings of 53 runs, hitting four fours and five sixes in 20 balls. Jitesh Sharma was out as the fourth wicket after scoring 10 runs. RCB scored a huge score of 240 runs for four wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Tim David remained unbeaten after scoring 34 runs in 16 balls.
