Addison Rae opened her first full-length solo performance at Coachella 2026 with “Diet Pepsi,” the song for which she reportedly filed a copyright claim against the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The ‘He's All That’ actress filed the copyright claim against the DHS after the federal agency used her 2024 song “Diet Pepsi” without authorization in a video promoting US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Following Rae’s copyright report, media capabilities were seemingly disabled on the DHS’s X post. The Homeland Security account displayed a notice reading, “This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner.”
DHS posted a montage video featuring ICE agents, with frequent close-ups on their biceps, set to Rae’s song, captioned “ICE is HOT.” The post also included a link directing viewers to apply to become ICE agents online.
However, DHS’s Instagram account still has the video, as of writing.
“Diet Pepsi,” released Aug. 9, 2024, through Columbia Records, served as the lead single from Rae’s debut studio album Addison. It has more than 48 million views on YouTube.
Last week, the TikTok star teased that Coachella 2026 would be different from her recent live performances on tour. “This show is not really #TheAddisonTourShow anymore….. it’s #TheFameAndGloryShow. Sort of a 2.0. Starts at Coachella and finishes in Poland,” she wrote on Instagram. “You don’t want to miss it!!!!!”
Neither DHS nor Addison Rae has issued a public statement regarding the copyright claim.
