JSW MG Motor India, as part of its expansion plans, had announced that it would be updating its lineup with new and refreshed products every 3–6 months. MG Motor is working on multiple new and interesting models for the Indian market, most of which are SUVs. Some of these have already been spotted testing on our roads. Here is a list of four such new SUVs that MG is planning to launch in India this year.
Let’s start with MG’s upcoming flagship SUV. The Majestor was unveiled in February, and we already know its technical specifications. It will replace the Gloster and become MG’s most expensive vehicle in the ICE lineup. The official launch of the Majestor is scheduled to take place on 20th April 2026.
The MG Majestor is a D+ segment full-size SUV that comes with a muscular exterior and a premium interior. It is a ladder-frame SUV with both on-road and off-road capabilities. The Majestor features dual 12.3-inch screens for infotainment and the digital driver’s display, along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also gets 12-way powered front seats with 8-mode massage, heating, and ventilation, along with a premium 12-speaker JBL sound system.
It is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that produces 215 PS and 478.5 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and is available in both RWD and 4×4 configurations.
Next on the list is the electric SUV S5, which will replace the current ZS EV in the Indian market. The S5 is already available internationally and looks much more premium and sleeker than the ZS EV. It features premium exterior elements such as LED headlamps, large dual-tone alloy wheels, and connected LED tail lamps.

Just like the exterior, MG will offer a premium-looking cabin in the S5. It is expected to come with features like a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry, satellite navigation, a wireless charger, selectable drive modes, and more.
Internationally, the S5 EV is offered with 49 kWh and 64 kWh battery pack options. MG is likely to introduce similar options in India as well. The SUV is expected to offer a claimed driving range of around 500 km.
2026 might also be the year MG introduces its first plug-in hybrid SUV in India. This model has already been spotted testing on Indian roads. The upcoming SUV is expected to be based on the Wuling Starlight 560, which is sold in the Chinese market.

It is likely to be introduced in India as a seven-seater SUV, competing with rivals like the Mahindra XUV700. It is expected to come with a decent number of features.
The SUV will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with a 20.5 kWh battery, which drives a front-mounted electric motor. This setup produces a combined output of 197 hp and 230 Nm of peak torque.

The fourth MG product likely to be launched this year is the iM6 SUV. This will be a premium electric SUV that will rival models like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 GT, Tesla Model Y, and the BYD Sealion 7.
Internationally, the iM6 is offered with both RWD and AWD configurations. The RWD version uses a single electric motor that generates 408 bhp, while the AWD variant produces around 778 bhp and 802 Nm of torque.
Like many MG products, the iM6 features a sleek and sporty design, along with premium features expected from a car in this segment.
