
Varanasi, 11 April. On Saturday, the local police has registered an FIR in the matter of threatening Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda. The police have registered a case on the basis of the complaint. It is noteworthy that last Thursday, Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand had received a threat on phone that he would be shot dead like Atiq Ahmed.
A case was registered in Bhelupur police station on the fourth day after the complaint was given.
Avimukteshwarananda’s disciple had filed a complaint in Bhelupur police station. On the fourth day after the complaint was filed, the police registered an FIR under section 351 (4), 352 of BNAS. ACP Bhelupur Gaurav Kumar said that the complaint was given by Parmatmanand, a disciple of Swami Avimukteshwaranand. On this basis, a case has been registered. The case is being investigated. Action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.
