If you suspect that your WhatsApp account is open on another device, do not ignore it. You can easily check all logged-in devices by navigating to the 'Linked Devices' section. If you spot an unfamiliar device, you can log it out immediately. Let us walk you through the entire process.

Today, WhatsApp is no longer just a chatting app; it has become an integral part of our lives. It houses everything from our personal chats to important documents and details, such as Aadhaar and PAN information. Consequently, if your account were to be logged into on another device, the security risk increases significantly. Therefore, if you ever harbor even the slightest suspicion, do not overlook it. You can check immediately, revoke any unauthorized access, and keep your account secure. Here is how.

How to Check Logged-In Devices on WhatsApp?

First, open WhatsApp on your Android or iOS smartphone.
Now, tap on the three dots located in the top-right corner of the screen.
From there, navigate to the 'Linked Devices' option.
Here, you will see a list of all the devices where your WhatsApp account is currently logged in.
To view details about a specific device, simply tap on it to check its activity.
If a device looks suspicious—or if you are certain that you did not log in on that device yourself—tap on 'Log out' immediately to revoke its access.

Manually Log Out from Devices

If you frequently log in to WhatsApp at a cyber café or on someone else's computer, make sure you absolutely do not forget to log out once you are finished. Simply click on the three dots mentioned above and select 'Log out.' This small step helps safeguard your privacy and prevents scammers or unauthorized individuals from gaining access to your account.

Keep These Points in Mind

If you are using an unfamiliar or public computer, it is crucial to exercise extra caution. In such situations, try to refrain from discussing highly personal matters with friends or family, and avoid sharing any sensitive or important details.

Think twice before downloading any links, photos, or videos, as doing so may pose a security risk. It would be best to use your own mobile data and avoid scanning any QR codes.

Never log in to any suspicious website or app, especially one that requests an OTP. If you need to use WhatsApp, use only WhatsApp Web instead of WhatsApp Desktop.
