Bhadrak: In a shocking incident, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Odisha’s Bhadrak, Soubhagya Kumar Sahu, passed away on Saturday after collapsing at his office.
As per sources, Sahu suddenly fell unconscious while working in his office. Colleagues in the office immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, despite prompt medical attention, the officer died during treatment.
While the exact cause of death would be ascertained only after postmortem, preliminary reports suggest that the officer may have suffered a heart attack.
Sahu hailed from Barunadiha village under Rajkanika block in Kendrapada. He was known among colleagues as a sincere and dedicated officer. He was to retire from service after 11 months. His sudden death has left forest department officials, staff members, and local residents in a state of deep grief.
