Bantwal: A mother and her daughter from Bantwal taluk have passed the II PUC annual examination, bringing joy to their family.
Nethravathi V R, a homemaker from Kaikamba near B.C. Road, had long wished to complete her II PUC. She registered as a private candidate and appeared for the exam at a government pre-university college in Montepadavu. She passed in the Arts stream, scoring 257 marks.
Her daughter, Hemashree R, a student of Government Pre-University College, B. Mooda, scored 562 marks in the Arts stream. She passed with distinction and secured the first rank in her college.
Their achievement has been welcomed by family members and teachers. Ravikumar, husband of Nethravathi, shared his happiness over both his wife and daughter passing the examination in the same year.
