Important information about Kedarnath Yatra

There is an important information for the devotees that Chardham Yatra is going to start from 19th April. The doors of Kedarnath Dham will open on 22nd April. Booking for helicopter service starts today (April 11) at 12 noon.

Trip initiation and booking process

Booking for helicopter service can be done only on the official website of IRCTC, heliyatra.irctc.co.in. This booking will be valid for travel from 22 April to 15 June. Before booking tickets, it is mandatory to register on Uttarakhand Tourism Portal. Note that a maximum of six tickets can be booked from one ID.

Ticket booking method

First of all, visit the official website heliyatra.irctc.co.in. Click on “Book Ticket” option and follow the instructions given. Devotees going on Chardham Yatra will have to register on Uttarakhand Tourism Portal. Based on this registration, the time for helicopter travel can be scheduled by visiting the IRCTC website.

Helicopter service to Kedarnath is available from three places: Guptkashi, Phata and Sirsi. A round-trip ticket from Guptkashi to Kedarnath costs around ₹12,762, while from Fata it is ₹10,164 and from Sirsi it is ₹6,390.

Beware of cyber fraud

The administration has advised devotees to be cautious of fraudulent websites, WhatsApp numbers and offers on social media. Such cases have come to light earlier also, so make reservations only through official platforms.
