WhatsApp Features: Often, you may want to read someone's message without the sender knowing that you have done so.
In today's world, WhatsApp is no longer just a messaging app; it has become an integral part of our daily lives. Most people limit its use to chatting, making calls, or sending photos and videos, but the app contains several hidden features that can make your experience even easier, faster, and more secure. Interestingly, these features are often tucked away within the settings, and very few people are aware of them.
There are times when you want to read a message from someone, but you don't want the sender to know that you have read it. In such cases, a simple workaround is to enable your phone's Airplane Mode as soon as the message arrives; then, open the app to read the message. Afterward, completely close the app before turning off Airplane Mode.
This ensures that the sender will not see the "blue ticks" (read receipts). Alternatively, you can go into the settings and disable "Read Receipts" entirely; however, doing so also means you will no longer be able to see the blue ticks for messages sent by others.
Often, we need to send a message to someone without wanting to save their contact number. There is a simple method for this as well. By using a specific link in your web browser, you can directly open the chat window for that particular number. This feature is particularly useful when you need to contact someone—such as a delivery agent or a service provider—for a one-time interaction.
To further enhance privacy, WhatsApp also offers a "Chat Lock" option. With this feature, you can lock your important or private chats. Locked chats are moved to a separate section that requires a fingerprint or passcode to access. This feature proves to be extremely useful if you share your phone with others.
Now, there is no need to limit your WhatsApp usage to a single device. Thanks to multi-device support, you can link your account to a laptop or another smartphone. Notably, your primary phone does not need to be connected to the internet at all times for this to work. This allows you to easily send and read messages across various devices.
Furthermore, WhatsApp also offers the option to format text in different styles. You can make your message clearer and more engaging by formatting specific words in bold, italics, or strikethrough. This feature is particularly useful for highlighting key points within longer messages. If you utilize these small features effectively, your WhatsApp experience can become far superior and smarter than ever before.
