The heat wave is going to increase in most parts of the country including Delhi from next week. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, a western disturbance with westerly winds is active in the Himalayan region, due to which strong winds are blowing in north-west India.
IMD has warned that a new weak western disturbance is likely to arrive from April 15 next week, after which the temperatures will rise significantly over northwest, central and eastern India. There is no possibility of rain, due to which the humid heat will bother people.

According to IMD, next week the maximum temperature may increase by 6-8 degrees in North-West India, by 5-7 degrees in Eastern India and by 3-5 degrees in Central India. This will increase the level of heat and humidity in all three areas.

Severe heat wave alert in these states
IMD has issued warning of heat wave in many states. There may be heat wave in Chhattisgarh between 14th and 16th April. There will be heat wave in Odisha on 13 and 14 April. There will be humid weather in West Bengal in the Ganga plains from 13 to 15 April. There is a possibility of heat wave in Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Coastal Maharashtra, Kerala and Mahe, coastal areas of Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Coastal Karnataka between April 11 and 16.
Rain and thunderstorm alert in Northeast India
There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh between April 11 and 14. There is also a danger of lightning at some places and winds with a speed of 30-40 km per hour. There may be light rain with thunder and lightning in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on April 11.
Warning of storm winds in Bengal and Sikkim
In Eastern India, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on 11 and 12 April. Stormy winds with a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour can also blow in these areas.
