Threats to bomb the assemblies in Bihar and Delhi have put security agencies on alert. According to Bihar Police, on Friday, officials associated with Bihar Assembly received an email in which there was a warning of blowing up the premises. As soon as this information was received, the administration came into action and intensive investigation was started in the entire area.

SDPO of Secretariat-1 Anu Kumari said that as soon as information about the threat was received, the police immediately deployed a bomb disposal squad and a team of sniffer dogs on the spot. Every corner of the Assembly complex is being searched in detail so that any possible threat can be neutralized in time. He also told that earlier on March 13, a similar threat had been received, which was later proved to be baseless. Despite this, no carelessness is being taken this time.

A similar case also came to light in Delhi, where a threatening email was sent to many government offices and institutions on Thursday morning. This email was received at around 8:14 am, in which it was said that there were explosions at different times in the Assembly, the Secretariat, some schools and a metro station. After this information, Delhi Police took immediate action and increased security at all sensitive places.

Bomb disposal squad, dog squad and other specialist teams conducted a thorough investigation of the assembly building, secretariat, schools and metro stations. A senior official said that in the initial investigation the email appears to be fake, but no threat can be ignored. Therefore all safety standards are being strictly followed.

Apart from this, help of cyber experts is being taken to identify the sender of the email. Security agencies are trying to trace the source of the email through technical means. In both the cases, the administration is taking full vigilance and every necessary step is being taken to ensure the safety of the common people.
