Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller is reportedly under consideration at Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window, with the club anticipated to pursue at least one new midfield acquisition. Casemiro will depart Old Trafford at the conclusion of the season when his contract runs out, while Manuel Ugarte's future remains unclear.
Stiller was connected with United last summer, although the recruitment department eventually opted to bolster the attack in the main. Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko all joined in big money moves, while Senne Lammens arrived to replace Andre Onana in goal. United continue to track Carlos Baleba, Elliot Anderson, Bruno Guimaraes and Adam Wharton, but Stiller is also regarded as a possible target. Nevertheless, Stuttgart have positioned themselves favourably to retain him.
They can purchase his €40m (£34m) release clause for merely €2m (£1.7m), enabling them to keep him at that price or transfer him subsequently for a substantial profit. According to Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg, this provision can be triggered 'at any time', and Stiller 'cannot reject it,' and he would collect the £1.7m payment 'immediately.'

It is additionally highlighted that his contract, which extends until the summer of 2028, would stay unaltered - only the £34m clause would be eliminated. For United and other interested clubs, this means any transfer fee would need to be negotiated directly with Stuttgart, and a move would only be feasible if a substantial offer is tabled.
Last November, Stuttgart's sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth was quizzed about Stiller's future, responding: "He has a contract with us. It's far too early to speculate about that.

"Of course, one or two clubs will have had their eye on him. He's having an outstanding season. Maybe he'll even play in a World Cup, we'll see.
"We're happy he's with us. That's part of the entertainment we have to cover. But there's nothing concrete. He can concentrate fully on VfB Stuttgart."
The German international has featured in 44 matches across all competitions this season, netting once and registering six assists.
