Police has exposed a big racket of expired food and cosmetic products in Kapashera area of ​​Delhi. Police have arrested a person in this case and recovered a huge quantity of spoiled and expired goods. The arrested accused has been identified as 34-year-old Abdul Mannan Khan alias Monu, a resident of Bijwasan. According to the police, the accused used to buy expired and damaged goods at cheap prices and then sell them to customers at lower prices. Due to this, people were able to get cheap goods, but their health was being seriously threatened.

Police had received secret information

Police had received information about this matter on April 8, after which a team conducted a sting operation. Police purchased goods from the shop by posing as decoy customers. During investigation, this item was found to be expired, after which the shop was raided. After which the shopkeeper was caught from the spot.

Dairy products including ration items recovered

During the raid, police found about 900 kg of expired ration like flour, semolina, poha, spices, peanut butter, baby food and many cosmetic products. Apart from this, the police said that about 2000 kg of dairy products like curd and cheese were also found on the spot, which were kept in very bad and unhygienic conditions. All these dairy products were destroyed on the spot in the presence of Food Safety Department officials.

A female customer present at the spot also complained that she had purchased goods from the shop a day earlier, which later turned out to be expired. Police have registered a case against the accused and further investigation is underway.
