Lucknow, 10 April. There has been a spat over language between UP Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav. When the SP chief took a dig at speaking Awadhi, Deputy Chief Minister Pathak retorted and said that Akhilesh Yadav has a problem with Indian culture and local languages.
Responding to the SP chief’s statement on Friday, Brajesh Pathak said, “Akhilesh Yadav has a stomach ache. He has a problem with Indian culture, Awadh, Bhojpuri and other local languages. He has studied abroad, what does he have to do with Indian languages, the languages of Uttar Pradesh.” The tussle between the two leaders started when Akhilesh Yadav shared a video of Brajesh Pathak on the social media platform ‘X’. In this video, Brajesh Pathak was answering the questions of journalists in Awadhi language. Akhilesh Yadav said sarcastically, “Speak or speak the language, theft does not hide.”
Earlier, Brajesh Pathak said, “The people of SP and Congress do not want our sisters to sit in the Parliament. They are always busy digging ditches for the mothers and sisters, whereas Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always been working for the sake of the sisters. Prime Minister Modi is making arrangements to immediately implement the Nari Shakti Vandan Act by calling a special session and amending the Nari Shakti Vandan Act.”
Here, on Friday, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak also reacted to the BJP’s resolution letter in West Bengal. He said, “The Bharatiya Janata Party is winning the elections unilaterally in West Bengal. The Trinamool Congress has been exposed. Hooliganism, anarchy and law and order have completely collapsed. The internal security of Bengal has also completely deteriorated. The general public of Bengal is fed up with the TMC and has joined the BJP. The BJP will form the government in Bengal with an overwhelming majority.”
