News India Live, Digital Desk: Just before the assembly elections, there has been an earthquake in the politics of West Bengal which has given sleepless nights to the opposition camp. A ‘sting operation’ video released by TMC has set the state politics on fire. In this video, former MLA Humayun Kabir is allegedly seen talking about a deal worth Rs 1000 crore with BJP. Immediately after this revelation, Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM has surprised everyone by breaking its alliance with Kabir’s party.

Viral video spoils the game of becoming ‘kingmaker’

Murshidabad’s powerful leader Humayun Kabir, who had recently formed ‘Aam Janata Unnayan Party’ (AJUP), is currently surrounded from all sides. It is being claimed in the viral video that Kabir has asked for huge amount of money from BJP in exchange for sharing minority votes. In the video he is heard saying that “it is easy to mislead Muslims.” However, Humayun Kabir has completely rejected these allegations and termed them as ‘AI generated’ and fake, but the damage was already done by the time Owaisi parted ways.

Owaisi’s tough decision: “No compromise with the dignity of Muslims”

As soon as this video went viral on social media, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi took immediate action. Owaisi made it clear that his party cannot stand with any person or organization that tries to bargain with the sentiments of the Muslim community and their votes. Making the official announcement, Owaisi said that now his party will contest elections alone in Bengal. Experts believe that with this step, the ‘M factor’ (Muslim vote bank) of Bengal can be completely shattered, which TMC is expected to directly benefit from.

TMC demands ED investigation, BJP counterattacks

The ruling Trinamool Congress has adopted an aggressive stance on this issue and has demanded an investigation from the Central Government and ED. TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh alleged that along with big leaders of BJP, the name of PMO has also been taken in this entire conspiracy. On the other hand, BJP has called these allegations a part of TMC’s ‘dirty politics’. BJP says that Mamata Banerjee’s party is resorting to such fake videos after seeing its ground slipping. At present, this high-voltage drama has completely complicated the electoral equations of Bengal.
