UP voter list 2026: The final voter list 2026 of Uttar Pradesh has been released. 2.05 crore names were removed and 84 lakh were added. Know how to check your name online and what to do if it is not in the list.
Lucknow: A big update has come out regarding the voter list in Uttar Pradesh. The final voter list has been released after the completion of SIR (Special Intensive Revision) process in the state. According to Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rewa, this time there has been a big change in the list. While on one hand crores of names have been removed, on the other hand lakhs of new names have also been added after claims and objections.
2.05 crore names removed, but 84 lakhs added again
According to the data:
- Total voters in 2024: 15.44 crore
- Draft List (6 January 2026): 12.55 crores
- Final List: 13.39 crores
It is clear that a total of 2.05 crore names were removed from the list, but after objections, about 84 lakh names were added back.

When did the SIR process start?
- Start: 27 October 2025
- Counting starts: 4 November 2025
- Last Date (Form): 25 December 2025
- Draft List: 6 January 2026
- Objections/Claims: Till 6 March 2026

Your name is not in the list? there is still a chance
If your name has not appeared in the final voter list this time, then there is no need to panic. You still have options:
First Appeal:
- Against ERO's decision
- To the District Magistrate within 15 days
Second appeal:
- Against DM's decision
- To the Chief Electoral Officer within 30 days
Direct Application:
- By filling Form-6
- Give to BLO or apply online

Voters increased the most in these districts
The highest increase in voter number occurred in these districts:
- Prayagraj – 3,29,421
- Lucknow – 2,85,961
- Bareilly – 2,57,920
- Ghaziabad – 2,43,666
- Jaunpur – 2,37,590
Sahibabad, Jaunpur, Lucknow West, Loni and Firozabad remained on top among the assembly seats.
UP number 1 in complaint disposal
According to the Chief Electoral Officer:
- 99.8% of 1.08 lakh complaints resolved
- UP ranks first in the country in 'Book a Call with BLO'
- 8.63 lakh call book, 97% people contacted
Almost all the cases were resolved on the helpline and complaint portal also.
Political parties also raised questions
During this entire process, a total of 107 memorandums were given by different political parties.
- Samajwadi Party: 85
- BJP: 10
- Congress: 9
- Other teams: 3
Officials claim that all the complaints have been resolved.
The new voter list of UP has made it clear that this time a major data update has been done before the elections. But due to removal of names on such a large scale, questions are also being raised. In such a situation, it is important for every voter to check his/her name timely and take immediate action if necessary.
