Kushtagi: An advocate and theatre artist died after suffering a suspected heart attack while arguing a case in the Kushtagi court on Friday morning (April 10).
The deceased has been identified as Ningappa Suddi Tavargera (50), a native of Tavargera.
According to reports, Ningappa was presenting arguments before the judge in a land dispute case when he suddenly suffered a heart attack and collapsed inside the courtroom.
The incident took place shortly after the court proceedings began on Friday morning.
Ningappa is survived by his mother, wife, one son and a daughter, besides several relatives.
He had been practising as an advocate for the past 20 years at the Gangavati court.
Apart from his legal profession, he was also known for his interest in theatre and stage performances. He had acted in various drama companies and amateur theatre productions.
He regularly appeared in courts across the district, including Gangavati and Kushtagi, representing his clients in different cases.
On Friday, he had appeared in the Kushtagi court in connection with a land dispute matter, during which the incident occurred.
Members of the advocates’ associations from Gangavati, Kushtagi and other courts in the district have expressed grief over his death.
