High Court Jobs 2026: If you are in search of a government job—and particularly if you aspire to build a career in the legal field—there is good news for you. The Bombay High Court has issued a recruitment notification for the posts of Associate. A total of 28 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this recruitment, candidates must hold a degree in Law from a recognized university. Additionally, candidates are required to have basic computer proficiency, specifically including English typing skills at a minimum speed of 40 words per minute.
Candidates who are already practicing law must possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience at the Bombay High Court or any of its subordinate courts. Preference will be accorded to candidates who are proficient in English Shorthand (at 80 words per minute) and Typing (at 35 words per minute). Furthermore, knowledge of the Marathi language will be considered an added advantage.
Age Limit
The prescribed age limit for applicants is between 21 and 38 years. Candidates belonging to the SC, ST, OBC, and SBC categories within the state of Maharashtra will be granted an age relaxation of 5 years. Age calculations will be performed in accordance with the official recruitment notification.
Application Fee
For this recruitment drive, candidates across all categories are required to pay a uniform application fee. The application fee has been fixed at ₹1,000 for all candidates, including those belonging to the General, OBC, SC, and ST categories.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected in two stages. First, a written examination or screening test will be conducted, carrying a weightage of 100 marks. Candidates who qualify in this test will be called for an interview (Viva-voce), which will carry 50 marks. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in both stages.
What is the Salary?
Candidates selected for this position will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹92,960 to ₹1,36,520. In addition to this, other allowances will also be provided. This is considered a stable and respectable government job.
