The LSG has clinched a dramatic victory over the KKR in IPL 2026, powered by a magnificent knock by Mukul Choudhary at the Eden Gardens. Batting on a slow pitch, chasing 182 runs, LSG was at a precarious position of 127/6 after 15 overs. With KKR bowlers including Narine and Roy making run scoring difficult, Mukul decided to take matters in his own hands with a number of fearless shots which even included a helicopter shot (in the Dhoni-style) that had the spectators captivated.

KKR, who had a wonderful batting innings for a total of 181/4 earlier, couldn't complete the job and LSG chased down the target on the very last ball by three wickets.

Dhoni-Style Helicopter Six by Mukul on Pressured Situation

It required something spectacular from Mukul Choudhary when he came in and he certainly provided it. Needing 54 runs in four overs with tremendous pressure and a tiring pitch and slow batting at the top, Mukul faced two dot balls in the 17 th over, followed by a boundary and a six that was hit through the helicopter shot off Vaibhav Arora.

It looked exactly like the signature helicopter shot of MS Dhoni. Mukul continued to attack and hit many more big shots as he remained not out at 54 off just 27 balls with two boundaries and seven sixes at a strike rate of 200.

Last-Over Drama Seals LSG Win

The last over was 14 runs required for LSG to win. Ajinkya Rahane-the captain of KKR-had to face the slow over-rate penalty, therefore his required to put in a minimum of four fielders inside the circle, which made it easy for LSG to rotate strikes.

Vaibhav Arora bowled the last over, failed to hit his line on the last second ball, Mukul did not let him waste the delivery as he smashed a magnificent six over sweeper cover. One run was required of the final delivery and Arora bowled a slower bouncer, but Mukul missed it as the ball went into the hands of Raghuvanshi. However, Avesh and Mukul ran for a bye to reach their target. A nervy finish indeed! Mukul remained calm, guided his team to another victory.

KKR lost their third match this season, as LSG continue with their winning form after a close win.
