Lucknow ! A sensational case of fraud in the name of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has come to light in Lalta Kheda village located in Nigohan of Mohanlalganj area, which has raised big questions on the security of the system. Accused Manju and her husband, posing as close to the chairman representative, lured the innocent women of the village with permanent houses and looted their hard-earned money. The magnitude of the fraud can be gauged from the fact that huge amounts like ₹ 85,000 were recovered from Phool Mata, ₹ 60,000 from Mitana, ₹ 49,000 from Mithilesh Kumari and ₹ 38,000 from Chandranana.
Apart from this, a total of ₹ 4 lakh 56 thousand were grabbed from 29 villagers including ₹ 28,000 from Sarita Devi, ₹ 11,000 from Ratta Devi, ₹ 8,500-₹ 8,500 from Aruna and Bela, ₹ 7,000-₹ 7,000 from Sudevi and Pratibha, ₹ 6,500 from Kiran, ₹ 5,000 from Sangeeta and ₹ 4,300 from Sunil. Today, when these victims are left with neither house nor savings, dozens of angry villagers including Madhuri Devi, Savita, Shanti Devi and Bela have sent a letter to the Chief Minister pleading for justice. Chairman representative Dr. Ajay Pandey ‘Satyam’ has also expressed displeasure over this fraud and demanded strict action from the police, so that the money of these poor people can be returned.
