Delhi Capitals lost to Gujarat Titans by 1 run. This team could have easily won the match but David Miller deliberately did not take a run on the fifth ball of the last over and Kuldeep Yadav was run out on the last ball. However, the reason for this defeat was not just David Miller's bad decision. A major reason behind this defeat was the rules of IPL. That rule of IPL which many former cricketers have raised their voice to change. But the IPL Governing Council did not take a decision on this and now Delhi Capitals has to face defeat due to the same rule.
The controversial rule of IPL became the reason for Delhi's defeat!
During the innings of Delhi Capitals, an appeal for LBW was made against Nitish Rana on the second ball of the 10th over. The umpire gave him out. However, Nitish Rana was not out and the ball hit his gloves. During this, Nitish Rana also took one run. When Nitish Rana took review against the umpire's decision, he was proved not out. But the problem here was that the one run run by Nitish Rana was not considered. Because the rule of ICC and IPL is that the ball becomes dead with the decision of the umpire. Now if Delhi had got that run then this team would not have lost the match. It would have been a tie or he would have won. Now this rule of IPL is being questioned again.
Everybody talking about David Miller's decision to not take single, nobody talking about Nitish Rama's bye that he had taken on the lbw appeal that was ruled out on DRS. Scores would have been tied if that run wasn't made ruled out. The rule makes no sense.

How did Delhi lose the won match?
Delhi Capitals had to score 210 runs to win. Delhi team had to score only 13 runs in the last over. David Miller batted brilliantly and turned the match towards Delhi and two runs were needed on the last two balls. But then Miller did something which is difficult to believe. He played a shot on the ball of Prasidh Krishna but he did not run. If those runs had been run, the score would have been equal but Milner thought that he would make the team win on the last ball. But Miller could not even touch the last ball and the non-strike Kuldeep could not complete the run as Butler ran him out.
