Humayun Kabir had ₹1,000 cr deal with BJP: TMC

Kolkata: Demanding a probe by the central agency, the Trinamool Congress on Thursday released a video of Aam Janata Unnayan Party chief Humayun Kabir claiming that the BJP has entered into a Rs 1,000-crore deal with him, with a target to divide the minority votes in certain constituencies in Murshidabad.

Meanwhile, Kabir claimed that the video was fake and AI generated and denied the allegations. Kabir said Trinamool will have to provide proof and claimed no such deal had been struck.Trinamool leadership claimed that Humayun Kabir is aiming to divide minority votes in some assembly constituencies in alliance with Asaduddin Owaisi-founded AIMIM."A Rs 1,000-crore scam has come to light that the BJP is carrying out for the elections. We have received an explosive video from some sources. The BJP is playing the politics of religious divide. They are misleading people. They are not friends of any religion, Bengal, or the nation. It can be seen that the BJP has created some B and C teams, and they are being helped to divide votes. They talk about Hindus and mislead them," AITC said in a statement, quoting party's state general secretary, Kunal Ghosh. Ghosh also said about the alleged involvement of the PMO, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and LOP in Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari, in the viral video exposing the BJP's sinister plot. The veracity of the video has not been verified by ET.

West Bengal minister Firhad Hakim, TMC leader Aroop Biswas and Ghosh released a video clip which showed Kabir reportedly conversing with an unidentified person on the money and the alleged deal. Hakim said Kabir should not make the mistake of considering that minority voters are fools. "He can sell his conscience to the BJP for money. But co mmon minority voters will never do that," Hakim said."Here is the explosive sting operation video that fully exposes @BJP4India's dirty conspiracy against Bengal. Reacting to this, Humayun Kabir said, "There is an att empt to mislead the Muslim vote bank as TMC is scared of me. Abhishek is doing all this conspiracy. It is an AI generated video." He said he will move court.
