Johnny Depp has slowly but surely been making his return to Hollywood films, having won his defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife, Amber Heard.
The Jack Sparrow actor's latest movie has him star as Ebenezer Scrooge in yet another film adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
Sir Ian McKellen co-stars in Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol as Jacob Marley's ghost and it sounds like the pair got on like a house on fire.
Speaking with Variety, the 86-year-old Gandalf actor opened up about their time on set together.
Sir Ian said: "He's in spankingly good form. Effervescent, funny, irreverent, serious - all at the same time. It was a bit of a love fest, really. I fell in love with him. He's very obliging to his fellow actors. [There was] a wonderful feeling on the set...It was only six days, but it was well worth it, I play a ghost!"
The new movie, directed by horror filmmaker Ti West, co-stars Andrea Riseborough as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Tramell Tillman as the Ghost of Christmas Present, Rupert Grint as Bob Cratchit, Sam Claflin as Fred and Daisy Ridley in an undisclosed role.
Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol hits cinemas on November 13, 2026.
