Britain's Got Talent has received over 100 Ofcom complaints following an incident where a performer was left bleeding on stage during Saturday evening's programme. Audiences watching the ITV talent show were left stunned after Leroy Patterson performed three "very important safety tips" involving mousetraps, a chair covered in nails and a weed strimmer. As the bloodied performer made his way back across the stage, a concerned Ant looked directly at the camera and asked: "Is he still alive?"

One viewer commented: "I don't think it's right to encourage people to harm themselves or think it's okay to harm themselves like this it's too far." Another remarked "He's bleeding what the hell he took this too far definitely not a talent". A third posted: "Don't try this at home! Really surprised they showed this, just stupidity!!!"

After stripping off his t-shirt and jeans, the daredevil stated: "Lesson number one, if you find yourself in front of a pile of mouse traps, do not do this." He subsequently threw himself onto the bed of mousetraps, leaving guest judge Stacey Solomon appalled and instantly pressing her buzzer. While Ant and Dec observed from the sidelines, Lee proceeded to sit down on a chair covered in sharp carpet fixing strips. Amanda exclaimed: "Why would you do that?"

The final straw for Alesha Dixon came when Lee ran through a tunnel of weed strimmers, suffering some cuts to his body as a result. With a mouse trap still attached to him, KSI said: "What do we call that?" to which Leroy answered: "Stupidity."

Remarkably, Leroy ultimately received 3 yeses, progressing through to the next round. KSI said: "I wanted something that's going to make me squirm, something dangerous - and Leroy came and answered." The perfomance has received 108 Ofcom complaints.

Another standout contestant was Nic Vani, whose West End background has since been revealed. He shared that he had hopes of finally taking centre stage in a production, instead of remaining in the background. During his audition, Nic captivated all four judges with his remarkable interpretation of Circle of Life from the acclaimed musical The Lion King.

However, one reason for his exceptional performance is that he previously appeared in the production as a cast member. And according to reports, he portrayed the iconic character of Simba. Nic was given a standing ovation from the judges, Stacey Solomon, who is deputising for Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, KSI and Alesha Dixon. And he secured four yesses.

Nic, a father of three, described himself as a singer, without referencing his professional background. And his motivation for entering the show was that he finally felt prepared to elevate his career to the next level.

During his audition, Nic said: "In my current music career, I've always been at the back - so now I think that it's time for me to be on the spotlight." However, following his performance, viewers began delving deeper and discovered he was a professional singer.

A spokesperson told press: "Anyone can apply for Britain's Got Talent whether they are professional or amateur, irrespective of their experience. All contestants are auditioned on merit and judged on their performance on the day. Some of the acts appearing on the show may have tasted a level of success in their craft, but are not household names. All enter the contest with the hope of elevating their career to the highest level."

Beyond his role in The Lion King, he also secured a part in The Book of Mormon and toured alongside former Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse.
