A man has been jailed for over two years after grooming a 14-year-old girl he met through the gaming app Roblox. Carlo Tritta, 19, kept indecent images of the teenager and travelled hundreds of miles to turn up at her home uninvited. After meeting virtually on the app in September 2024, Tritta moved the conversation to other apps and maintained contact with her, constantly calling or messaging her.

He told her they were in a relationship and sent her gifts and takeaways, prompting the girl's mother to contact the police when she became aware of the situation. Tritta, of Eastleigh in Hampshire, was arrested in August 2025 and bailed with strict conditions not to contact the girl or her mother, and police seized his phone to investigate its content.

Despite this, he still texted her multiple times, contacted her friends through social media, and sent her two Moonpig cards in an attempt to get her to drop the case.

He then reported the girl's mother to child services and asked the police to remove the investigating officer from the case.

One of the cards read: "I want you to know for your protection you're not going to like it but I have reported your mum and brother to the police."

The other said: "If this goes to court, this will likely end up of the news thats both of our names ran through dirt for the whole world to see."

Hampshire Police explained how Tritta travelled to the girl's home in Manchester on September 5 and let himself in through the back door.

She asked him to leave, which he did before returning 10 minutes later and demanding to know her new phone number. She eventually agreed to go to the pub with him to get him away from the house.

The girl's mother spotted him the following morning while she was putting the bins out and confronted him before calling the police.

Tritta was arrested and charged with perverting the course of justice, which he admitted in court and he was handed a 12 month suspended sentence on December 11.

He travelled to Manchester again three days later, confronting the girl and he mother and damaging a CCTV camera.

Tritta was arrested again and charged with two counts of intimidating a witness and criminal damage, three counts of making indecent images of a child, engaging in sexual communications with a child, and causing a child aged 13-15 to watch/look at a sexual image.

He pleaded guilty to all charges in December and was sentenced to 28 months at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on Thursday.
