However, behind the light moment lies a challenging situation. Chennai Super Kings have had a poor start to their campaign, losing all three of their matches so far. They suffered a home defeat against Punjab Kings and away losses to Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
The team has also been missing the presence of MS Dhoni who is out due to a leg injury. His absence has added pressure on Ruturaj Gaikwad as CSK go through a transition phase.
CSK will now face an in-form Delhi Capitals side at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, hoping to turn things around. Their schedule remains packed, with matches against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 14, Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 18, and Mumbai Indians on April 23.
