IPL 2026 match between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium produced a dramatic moment in the form of a stare after Rashid Khan dismissed Nitish Rana.
When Delhi Capitals were chasing a big target of 211, they started very well in the first half of their inning. But Rashid Khan changed the momentum of the game when he came to bowl. After dismissing Nitish Rana, the Afghan leg-spinner gave him an intense stare and this moment was the talk of the town among the fans and commentators.
The moment happened in the 9th over when Delhi Capitals needed 136 runs to win from 11 overs. Rana, trying to play an attacking shot towards the on-side, tried to take on the googly but played it very early. He gave a big leading edge and the ball went high in the air for a catch to Sai Sudharsan, who took a smart catch at long-off. After taking the wicket, Rashid Khan gave Rana a hard stare and then both the players had a very intense stare.

Rashid Khan Turned the Game Completely Around
With his two quick wickets in the match, Rashid Khan not only broke the game's flow but also the momentum for Delhi Capitals. In the next ball, he took another crucial wicket of Sameer Rizvi, who went on to be dismissed for a duck without any score to his name.
DC, who had laid a strong foundation of 76 for the first wicket between KL Rahul and Pathum Nissanka (41 runs), were put under immense pressure by the twin strike of Rashid Khan. The Afghan spinner later came back to dismiss Axar Patel as well, and finished the spell with the amazing figures of 3 wickets for just 17 runs in his four overs.
David Miller, who previously went out of the field, came back and almost pulled off the chase for DC, but a blunder by him in the last over handed away the match to the Titans by just a run.
Nitish Rana Continues his Struggles in IPL 2026
The poor show of Nitish Rana continued in the IPL 2026 as he could only score 5 runs of 6 balls after coming out to bat at number 3.
His average score in this IPL is quite poor. With 20 runs in three innings of this tournament, Rana still has a duck to his name in an earlier game and is continuing with his losing form against the Gujarat Titans. His average score before this match against GT was not that high and it doesn't look like that number would get any better.
With such constant failures, it would be interesting to see if DC might give a chance to someone else to bat at number 3 as they have many in-form options on the bench.
