The Toronto Raptors didn’t just help solidify their own playoff position with their 121-95 win over Miami, they ensured the Heat will once again appear in the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament.
Led by 25 points from Scottie Barnes and 23 from veteran Brandon Ingram, the Raptors gave themselves a one-game cushion over the 76ers and Magic for the final guaranteed postseason spot in the East with three contests left in the regular season.
Ingram is in his first season with Toronto after playing just 18 games for the Pelicans last year, and the Raptors seem to have made a smart move trading for his services in the offseason.
He’s been the primary scoring option with 21.6 points-per-game in 74 games so far for a Raptors team looking for their first playoff berth since 2022-23.
