IPL 2026: In the 14th match of IPL 2026, Delhi Capitals defeated Gujarat Titans by just 1 run at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Batting first, Gujarat Titans scored 210 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. Delhi Capitals got the target of 211 runs to win, but the team could score only 209 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. This match continued till the last ball, where a mistake by David Miller cost the team dearly.

Gujarat's stormy batting

After losing the toss and batting first, Gujarat started aggressively. Shubman Gill scored 70 runs while playing the captaincy innings. At the same time, Jos Buttler played a quick inning of 52 runs in 27 balls. Washington Sundar also contributed 55 runs in 30 balls at number 4. During this innings, David Miller also retired hurt due to injury, but he made a comeback and took the match very close. He played an explosive inning of 41 runs in 20 balls. But Delhi team fell just 1 run short of victory.

Delhi needed 2 runs on the last 2 balls. But on the 5th ball of the 20th over, David Miller refused to run for 1 run, which cost the team dearly. Actually, he was in good form, so he kept the strike with himself and tried to score 2 runs on the last ball, but he played a dot on the last ball of the match, due to which Gujarat won the match by 1 run. This is Gujarat's first win in the season, while Delhi had to face its first defeat.
