A shocking incident has emerged from Mumbai, where a 37-year-old driver has been taken into custody. The details of the case are alarming.
The victim, a 35-year-old woman, was employed for domestic work in South Mumbai. In 2024, while working in the Opera House area, she met the accused, Inder Mohan, who was also from her home district of Madhubani, Bihar. Their conversations began to build trust between them. In July 2024, the accused invited her to a hotel, claiming he needed her presence for a religious ritual. Upon arriving at the hotel, he offered her a drink that was laced with a narcotic, rendering her unconscious. When she regained consciousness, she found herself in a state of undress and realized she had been sexually assaulted. Furthermore, the accused had taken explicit photos and videos of her on his phone.
Repeated Assaults and Threats
When the woman demanded the deletion of the photos, the accused began to threaten her instead. He transferred ₹85,000 from her bank account to that of an accomplice using her phone. Following this incident, the woman returned to her village, but the accused continued to harass and intimidate her over the phone. On August 19, 2025, he lured her back to the same hotel by threatening to release the old explicit images and assaulted her again. In September 2025, he forced her multiple times at different locations, each time taking new explicit photos and using them to maintain control over her.
