As soon as the month of April starts, the heat starts showing its effects. Conditions like strong sunlight, rising temperature and heat wave not only affect health but also harm the skin. If proper care is not taken in this season, the skin starts looking dry, lifeless and burnt. Therefore, it is important to take special care of the skin in the heat of April, so that the skin remains healthy and glowing.
In fact, beautician Aarti Singh of Rae Bareli district tells that the skin can be kept safe even in the scorching heat of April. With regular care, the skin will not only remain healthy but will also maintain its natural glow.
First of all, it is very important to protect yourself from sunlight. Before going out in strong sunlight, apply sunscreen on the face and exposed areas. It is considered better to use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 or more. Apart from this, use a cap, umbrella or scarf while going out in the sun, so that the effect of direct sunlight on the skin is reduced.
The sun is strongest between 12 noon and 3 pm, so one should avoid going out at this time. It is also very important to keep the skin hydrated during the summer season. The effect of lack of water in the body is directly visible on the skin. Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water throughout the day.
Consuming coconut water, buttermilk and fresh fruits also cools the skin from within. Along with this, washing the face with cold water two to three times a day also keeps the skin fresh. The problem of oily skin also increases in summer. Applying homemade face pack once or twice a week is also beneficial. Like a pack of gram flour, curd and turmeric makes the skin clean and soft.
Cucumber, aloe vera gel and rose water also help in cooling the skin. Apart from this, it is also important to pay attention to diet. Instead of fried and spicy things, include green vegetables, fruits and salads in your diet. Water-rich fruits like watermelon, melon and cucumber keep the skin hydrated. It is also important to get enough sleep, because lack of sleep makes the skin look tired.
