As part of the Hyundai Creta Summer Edition updates, the features which were earlier limited to higher trims such as the SX, SX(O), and SX Premium are now being pushed downward to make lower and mid variants more value for money.

The list of these features includes smart key with push button start, rear camera, rear window sunshades, LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED taillamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, and a dashcam. It has to be noted that apart from the feature additions, there will be no changes in the powertrain options or design of the vehicle.

The base EX variant of the Creta, with the new Summer Edition update, will be getting the smart key with push button start. The engine and transmission options will remain the same, including the 1.5-litre NA petrol with a 6-speed manual gearbox and the 1.5-litre diesel with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The second base variant, EX (O), will now get a ton of premium features, including LED headlamps, LED DRLs and positioning lamps, and LED taillights. It will also get a smart key with push button start, rear camera, rear window sunshades. It will now also come equipped with 16-inch styled wheels.

The EX (O) seems to be one of the most value-for-money variants in the lower side of the lineup. In terms of the powertrain options, it gets a 1.5-litre petrol with 6-speed manual and iVT, and a 1.5-litre diesel with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Moving up the lineup, the S(O) variant of the Creta will now be offered with a factory-fitted dashcam as part of the Summer Edition update. This might not seem like a big addition on paper, but in real-world usage, it adds a lot of value.

The S(O) Knight edition will also get this update. It will also continue with its blacked-out styling elements. Engine and gearbox options will remain unchanged, with the 1.5-litre petrol offered with both manual and iVT options. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre diesel continues with manual and automatic choices.

The SX variant, which is already one of the most popular choices among buyers, will become even more attractive with the Summer Edition update. It will now get a larger 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster along with a factory-fitted dashcam.

At the top of the lineup, the SX Premium variant will receive some of the biggest upgrades. It will now come equipped with a 360-degree camera, blind view monitor, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and front parking sensors.

These features were earlier only limited to the very top trims and are usually seen in more expensive SUVs. With these additions, the SX Premium variant now offers a much more premium experience and almost feels like a segment above.

Apart from these new features, it will continue to offer existing premium equipment like ventilated seats, Bose 8-speaker sound system, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Engine options remain the same, with the 1.5-litre petrol available with manual and iVT, while the diesel continues with a manual gearbox.
