The opening batsmen for Gujarat Titans Sai Sudharshan and Shubman Gill began their innings with steady play. The batsmen reached 11 runs during the first over while displaying their batting confidence.

Sai Sudharshan performed well during the match. He scored the boundary early in the game and attempted to exploit the powerplay period. However, Mukesh Kumar had other plans.

Mukesh returned to the match with a strong performance during the third over. He bowled a sharp delivery on the first ball of the over. Mukesh Kumar has been in good form this season. He maintained his confidence after giving away runs during his initial over. He maintained his accurate bowling by throwing his pitches in the proper locations.

His plan worked effectively because he maintained his delivery line near the stumps. The batter faced difficulty because of the pitch, which caused the ball to move slightly. His wicket of Sudharshan gave Delhi Capitals a good start in the match.

Buttler scored his half-century. He hit 52 runs from 27 balls, which included three fours and five sixes. Kuldeep Yadav then bowled him with a good delivery.

Gujarat captain Shubman Gill operated as a supporting batsman from the other side. He is playing on 43 runs from 29 balls and gave strike to Buttler. Gujarat Titans used this partnership to recover from their early wicket loss.

Before the IPL, Buttler was not in great form during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. He struggled to score runs, which was a concern for his team.
