Tehran. Iran has claimed a major diplomatic victory amid ongoing tensions with America. Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said on Wednesday that Washington had accepted Tehran’s 10-point peace plan, declaring a “great victory” in the conflict.
According to Iranian state broadcaster IRIB, the council said in the statement that the US was forced to accept Iran’s conditions. This includes important points like maintaining Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz, continuing uranium enrichment and removing all types of US sanctions.
According to the Iranian statement, the US has not only recognized the principle of non-aggression, but also agreed to end UN Security Council and International Atomic Energy Agency resolutions, pay compensation to Iran and withdraw its troops from West Asia.
