Cheap Calling Recharge Plan: According to CNBC report, TRAI has sought opinions from concerned parties and companies on this new rule till April 28. A final decision on this will be taken only after getting everyone’s advice and feedback.
Cheap Calling Recharge Plan: If you recharge your mobile every month, then there is good news for you. TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) is now preparing to provide relief to those people who use the phone mainly only for calling. For this, TRAI has introduced a new proposal, under which telecom companies will now have to bring special ‘voice packs’ whose validity will be 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year. This means that now you can get rid of frequent expensive recharges and you can choose only the long term calling pack as per your need.
Suggestions have to be given by 28th April
According to CNBC report, TRAI has sought opinions from concerned parties and companies on this new rule till April 28. A final decision on this will be taken only after getting everyone’s advice and feedback. This step of the government will increase competition among mobile companies, which will directly benefit the customers as they will be able to get better and cheaper options for recharge.
Data plan will provide relief
Currently, most mobile users are forced to do expensive data recharges, even if they do not need internet. But after the new rules of TRAI, calling only plans will be much cheaper than data plans. Its biggest benefit will be to those people who use less internet, especially the elderly and customers living in rural areas, who will no longer have to pay for data unnecessarily.
Family plans are getting cheaper
A popular family plan from Jio starts at Rs 449, which offers 75GB data on the main SIM, unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day. The specialty of this plan is that you can add 3 more family members at the rate of Rs 150 per person. In this way, the entire family of 4 people can join in the total expenditure of Rs 899, due to which the expenditure of one person comes to only around Rs 225. It also provides the facility to share data, so that any member of the family can use as much data as per his need.

Apart from this, subscription of OTT apps like Amazon Prime and JioHotstar is also available for free. If you have a big family then you can choose the plan of Rs 1199 or Rs 1399, in which a total of 4 people (1+3) can join. In these big plans, data ranging from 190GB to 390GB is available, which the entire family can share and use.
