G-Dragon's Financial Milestone
In 2025, G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong) experienced one of the most lucrative years of his career. A recent audit report from Galaxy Corporation revealed that the company's standalone payment fees, primarily from artist settlements, soared to around ₩71.4 billion KRW (approximately $47.6 million USD), marking a staggering 31-fold increase from the previous year. Analysts suggest that after deducting legal and promotional costs, G-Dragon's personal earnings could surpass ₩65 billion KRW (about $43.3 million USD). When considering additional income sources like music royalties, luxury endorsements, and advertising contracts, his total earnings for 2025 are expected to be significantly higher.
World Tour Fuels Galaxy Corporation's Revenue Surge World Tour Drives Massive Revenue for Galaxy Corporation
The main contributor to G-Dragon's remarkable income was his world tour. The Übermensch World Tour, promoting his third studio album, featured 39 performances across 17 cities and attracted around 825,000 fans, making it the largest tour by a Korean solo artist. In the U.S. alone, all five concerts sold out, with a total of 63,000 tickets sold, and G-Dragon made it onto the Billboard Boxscore chart for August 2025, earning $9.3 million from just three shows. Merchandise and pop-up store sales related to the tour amounted to approximately ₩200 billion KRW.
The financial repercussions for Galaxy Corporation were significant. The agency's consolidated revenue reached ₩299 billion KRW (around $198 million USD) in 2025, reflecting a 619% increase from the previous year, while operating profit hit ₩12.5 billion KRW, reversing prior deficits in just one year. Galaxy Corporation attributed this turnaround directly to G-Dragon's endeavors.
Diverse Income Streams Beyond Concerts Royalties, Brand Deals And Additional Income Streams
In addition to concert revenues, G-Dragon earned through various other avenues. His third studio album, Übermensch, sold over 600,000 copies on its release day and surpassed one million copies in 2025, significantly boosting his royalty income. He also engaged in advertising partnerships with luxury brands like Chanel and Jacob & Co, alongside collaborations with numerous global brands. These endorsement deals have consistently formed a vital part of his income. Industry experts note that the revenue disparity between G-Dragon and other Galaxy Corporation artists is reportedly over 100 times.
Furthermore, G-Dragon's performance at the APEC 2025 Leaders' Banquet, a prestigious event, enhanced his global profile and contributed to his income from broadcasts and appearances. The entertainment sector has dubbed him a 'walking conglomerate,' a title that his earnings in 2025 seem to validate.
