Meghan Markle's Hollywood BFF and former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer has hinted at whether the Duchess will be making a surprise cameo in the US remake of a popular British TV show. Best Medicine, which aired in January this year, is a remake of the beloved medical comedy series Doc Martin.
Last month, broadcaster Fox renewed the show for a second season, with fans speculating about future high-profile guest appearances. Now, Ms Spencer, who portrays schoolteacher Louisa Gavin in the show, has given her own take on who could appear in season two.
The actress also starred in Suits as Dana Scott, alongside the Duchess of Sussex, who portrayed Rachel Zane.
She also appeared in Season 1 of the Duchess's Netflix series, With Love, Meghan and the two have been close for years.
Ms Spencer spoke to US Weekly and said: "Everyone I've ever worked with [should join]. I saw Sarah Rafferty the other day and I was like, 'Oh, I really want Sarah to come on the show.'
"Also Rick Hoffman and Gina Torres and Gabriel Macht. Any of my Suits cast like Patrick J. Adams."
She added about the Duchess: "I don't know if we're going to get Meghan Markle, but Meghan would be amazing."
Meghan was pictured last year filming for a cameo in the upcoming Hollywood Film, Close Personal Friends.
Last November, Prince Harry's wife was seen filming at Amazon MGM Studios in Pasadena, in what is her first time back on set after eight years.
The film features a star-studded cast, including Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Jack Quaid - son of Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid - and Brit Henry Golding.
