Neem Karoli Baba: A spiritual mystery has been revealed regarding the ashes of Neem Karoli Baba. Dr. Dhananjay Sharma, Neem Karoli Baba's grandson, revealed that Baba's ashes have been preserved in Bhopal for 53 years.
Neem Karoli Baba: A moving spiritual fact has come to light regarding Neem Karoli Baba, a great devotee of Lord Hanuman and a miraculous saint. Baba's ashes have been preserved with utmost reverence in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, for the past 53 years.
According to reports, Baba passed away on September 11, 1973, on the day of Anant Chaturdashi in Vrindavan. His ashes were then immersed in 11 sacred rivers across the country, but a portion was brought to Bhopal by his eldest son. The urn containing the ashes is still preserved by the family.
Dr. Dhananjay Sharma, Neem Karoli Baba's grandson, said that Baba had a special attachment to Bhopal. In 1970, he stayed at his home in Arera Colony for about 10 days. During this time, he visited several areas of the city and even spent the night at the Nevri Temple.
He also explained that the family considers Baba to be an incarnation of Hanuman. Baba himself gifted them a special statue of Hanuman, which they still regularly worship. According to the family, this urn containing ashes is unique and exists nowhere else in the country.
A grand temple and ashram will be built in Bhopal.
According to Dr. Dhananjay Sharma, there is a plan to soon build a grand temple and ashram of Neem Karoli Baba in Bhopal, where this sacred urn of ashes will be duly installed.
A film will be made on Baba's life.
Along with this, he also informed that preparations are underway to make a film on the life of Neem Karoli Baba, so that his life, miracles, and spiritual thoughts can be conveyed to the people on a wide scale.
Who was Baba Neem Karoli?
Neem Karoli Baba is considered one of the greatest saints of the 20th century, considered an ardent devotee of Lord Hanuman and an incarnation of him. According to information available online, Baba was born Laxman Das Sharma in Akbarpur (Firozabad region) in Uttar Pradesh. He later embarked on a spiritual path and became renowned nationwide for his miracles, simple living, and compassion. The Kainchi Dham Ashram in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand is one of his major ashrams, where millions of devotees visit annually. Even today, millions of his devotees, both in India and abroad, visit Kainchi Dham.
